The County of York, Pennsylvania and Verizon Enterprise Solutions
have signed an agreement for new telephony equipment

The County of York and Verizon Enterprise Solutions entered into an agreement in July 2005 to upgrade telephone equipment and service at the existing 911 Communications Center located at Pleasant Acres, York, PA. This upgrade is an integral part of the Emergency Services Center Project. The equipment will also be used at the County’s new Emergency Services’ Back-Up Facility.

The new telephone equipment, connected to the Center’s 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), will allow for faster call processing, recording, and record keeping.
