YAMMRS Announcing Three More School Districts Plus College to Receive H1N1 Vaccine

Three more school districts and York College have been chosen to receive the H1N1 vaccine through YAMMRS. The schedule for the week of November 30th ending on December 4th is as follows:

Week of November 30th: Christian School of York / Hanover Public School District / Red Lion Area School District /  York College

At the conclusion of the above school vaccination schedule on December 4th, YAMMRS will have provided the vaccine to 11 school districts and 1 college. In addition, by the end of the toddler/pre-school vaccination clinics held today, YAMMRS will have vaccinated approximately 2,100 children in the 6 month to age 5 populations.

YAMMRS initiated the H1N1 vaccine ordering process with the Pennsylvania Department of Health in mid-September and requested nearly 190,000 doses. To date, YAMMRS has received approximately 19% of the amount requested.
