YAMMRS SCHOOL VACCINATION SCHEDULE

(York/Adams Counties) –YAMMRS is announcing the school-based vaccination schedule for the week of January 11, 2010. Based on CDC’s recommendations that children 9 years old and younger receive a 2nd dose of H1N1 vaccine a minimum of 28 days from receiving the 1st dose, YAMMRS will be returning to all schools to administer the 2nd dose over the next five weeks. The second dose of H1N1 vaccine is considered valid provided it is administered beyond the 28 day period. 

1st Round of Vaccine  Red Lion Christian School (1/11)
                                Mission Home Education and Counseling (1/11) 

2nd Round of Vaccine  Northern York School District (1/11 & 1/12)
                                Dallastown Area School District (1/13 & 1/14)
                                Upper Adams School District (1/14)
                                Littlestown Area School District (1/15)

Schools will be scheduled, as best possible, in the same order as the initial vaccination round.  Parents will be informed of the scheduled date of the 2nd dose by their respective school district.  If a child has already received their 2nd dose at another location, YAMMRS requests that parents contact the school district and inform the school nurse of receipt of the 2nd dose.
