Phone Service Interrupted For Some York County Residents

(York County) – Frontier Communications has informed York County Department of Emergency Services there is a problem with one of its fiber optic phone lines. According to Frontier, at this time 3,019 York County customers do not have land line phone service in the Etters, Lewisberry, and Newberry Township area. The exchanges impacted by the outage are 915, 932, and 938. The company is aware of the problem but has not specified when the line will be repaired. Fire departments in the affected area have been asked to keep staff in the fire stations so residents can walk in to report emergencies.
