County Officials Grateful For Hard Work and Dedication Throughout Storm Response

(York County) –. The two recent severe snowstorms that occurred within a five day period have led to the most significant snow event in York County since 1996. The intense snowfall followed by blizzard conditions brought life to a grinding halt; closing interstates, schools, businesses and government offices at all levels. While roads are being cleared and life is returning to normal for many York County residents, snow removal efforts continue today. As a result, the York County Board of Commissioners has issued the following statement:

“We would like to thank everyone who has assisted with snow removal
efforts in our communities. Their tireless efforts are instrumental in pulling
us through this crisis. We would also like to thank first responders and other
essential personnel. They continued to serve the community during a dangerous
blizzard; their selfless efforts to keep the community safe were outstanding.”
